I live in High Rolls New Mexico and today is the first day of issue for the Mauldin stamp. He lived about 1/4 mile down the road from me. It is still the 'Mauldin Place'. His grandson lives over in Las Cruces and takes care of the place. The only local I know of who became famous. Pretty cool.
