    In the 1930′s a couple of German passenger ships catapulted a mail-carrying plane toward the destination country thus initiating a form of airmail whih predated the Pan American Clippers. I believe one of the ships was the Europa. I would like to find a book or article describing this phase of airmail history.

    military air mail stamps that was given to the military man at a lower rate. less then the postage rate. to mail letters home.Do you have any information on these stamps. thank you for your time.
